Banana Ice Cream

This is a great summer treat. It’s simply and easy to make too. Prerequisite: freeze bananas ahead of time. Look for the “sale” or ripe bananas at your local store and freeze them. 4 or 5 bananas makes enough for two.

Basically all you do is chop up the bananas and remove the skin and throw them in a food processor. Process them stopping periodically to mix until it becomes smooth like ice cream. It takes about 10 mins or so of processing / stopping / mixing. Then add any additional ingredients. I added cacao powder, cacao nibs(from wilderness family naturals), and 2 small handfuls of frozen blue berries. Blend a little more and serve. Add coconut shavings for additional flavor.
